I "couldn't", because I didn't

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

I am doing physical training for some extreme events coming up.  This kind of training is a great metaphor and example for doing just about anything in life.

A few years ago if someone told me to do 20 burpees in a row or 10 pull ups or run 10 miles, I’d have said “I couldn’t”, and I would have been right.  But the reason I couldn’t, is because I didn’t.  I didn’t try.

Of course when you try things the first time you can’t do things as well, as long, or as effectively.  But you learn, and you get stronger and better.  Then you keep trying and you make progress.

One day, you can say “I can”.  How do you know?

Because you did.

Brilliant and soooo true

It’s all about ATTITUDE, CONFIDENCE, CONVICTION and DEDICATION!

For the 1st 59 years on earth I said I couldn’t or wouldn’t train to run a 1/2 marathon, that all changed when I ran my 1st 1/2 marathon 4 years ago and just completed my 5th 1/2 marathon in 5 years.

Physical training must be a part of your every day life as you strive to stay ahead of the aging process. It’s a combination of running, lifting weights having the attitude to be the best that you can be. If you dedicate just 1 hour a day/5-7 days a week “I guarantee” you will feel the results and others will comment that they see your progress. There’s almost no better feeling in the world than staying ahead of the “aging process”. After all, you are only as old as you feel, look and act!

Tomorrow is a new day, no more excuses, get ACTIVE!
