Is working harder or longer your answer?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

When we fisrt start in business and we are one of just a couple employees, working longer and harder could make a difference – it was our “winning strategy”. But now we have 10 or 20 or 100 employees and it’s a losing strategy. We are only one person, and working harder to do the work only leaves us exhausted, with no time for our family or having fun.

If you want to earn twice as much, can you work twice the hours? Clearly working longer and harder is not the answer. What is?

Do the right things when you work.  That’s the answer.

“The Highest Calling” was a life changer for me! I tried working harder and even harder and that wasn’t enough! Funny, I worked for many wealthy business owners and some bought and fixed and sold companies. While I worked for them ( hands on ) they never told me what ” The Higest Calling ” told me ” ( now I know:) Yes, I’ll bet business schools hate that book :))

The CEO of my former company used to always say to employees “work smarter, not harder.”
