Defying the odds

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

25% of startups fail within the first year.  36% of those left fail within the second year.  44% of those left fail within the third year.  50% of those left fail in their fourth year.

For an entrepreneur to succeed, she needs to beat the odds.  A gambling man, looking at the odds, would always bet against an entrepreneur.

We can’t be casual about finding distinctions in our business that will win over customers and help us compete successfully in the marketplace.

Are you improving your organization’s chances?

Good morning Larry and congratulations on winning the Baja 1000 with Tanner! A compelling story of epic proportions.
10 years ago when we joined Basement Systems, we had 55ish competitors strewn throughout Michigan. Very few have survived, we now have 5 companies that attempt to work in our space, with another 3-4 coming and going every year.
We have to use continuous learning, action, marketing, tools in the marketplace ie; BBB, networking, etc….to differentiate the delivery of our story to our target market and cause ACTION. But most importantly, we simply have to work on ourselves to become people we have never been to achieve those things that we never have – across the 107 people at Ayers Basement Systems. Thank you for all your help and Happy Thanksgiving! We are thankful to be a part of the Team Basement Systems network!! Ed
