Self-Deception is Easy

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

The key to greater achievement in our lives is self-development; new thinking which leads to new action.  The reason we must change our minds to get different results is that we have been believing things about ourselves, other people, the marketplace and the world, that aren’t correct.  When we believe something to be true, we act as if it is.

I’m a victim, success is not for me, I can’t, they are bad people, that will take many years, it’s difficult, I am great at_______, I am terrible at ______, they have it all wrong, they owe me, etc. etc.

The problem with self-deception is that you don’t know you are deceiving yourself.

Consider you are.

This requires a consistent amount of effort, especially durring the most challenging circumstances. There is a sweet spot I like to call active peace. I work as if it were all up to Me & I pray as if it were all up to God. I also look at my business from the perspective of a steward and not just an owner. If I were honest & I am being honest, I have often chosen the mindset for failure or limited success for more than 1/2 the 16 years I’ve been in business & I’m struggling with some wrong beliefs right now!
Thanks Larry for today’s encouragement!

Once again , thank you Larry for the “Think Daily!” It really makes me take a hard look at myself, my successes and failures and truly makes me a better person. I know that is one of your many goals of this and is working well for me. The price can’t be beat either! Have a great day.
