"Thinking Music"

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

I educated myself on audiobooks, so I don’t listen to the radio a lot.  However, I love music.  When I am working I listen to music that doesn’t distract me, but inspires me and brings out my creativity.

I was playing “Coastal Brake” by Tycho, and my daughter Autumn said “This is thinking music”.   “Yes!”

Here’s a few of my favorites to play while working.

Jon Hopkins  “Light through the Veins”, Cocteau Twins “Pandora (for Cindy)”, Solar Fields “Bngl.W”, The Egg “Venice Beach”, Cloud Atlas Finale, Tycho “Montana”, Saucy “Through the Sky”, and Passenger 10 “What a Feeling”.

Enjoy!

Thanks for this. I love “thinking” music as much as “feeling” music but sometimes it’s a challenge for me to find the “right” music for the right time.

Hi! I’m dating myself a bit here, but I’ve always enjoyed Chicago’s “Feelin’ Stronger Every Day” because of both the upbeat tempo and the song’s message. (Of course, I’m also partial to the Steve Miller Band’s “Fly Like an Eagle”)

South Africa.

Hey, please send us all the links to those songs.

Cheers.
