Tension in your soul

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

We have been conditioned to pursue a path; a career, a life, liesure activities that others are doing. We stay fairly close to the group because that’s what is expected.

If we feel restless and unsatisfied, not because we haven’t accomplished our goals yet but because we aren’t doing the right things for us, it may be that we were meant to be doing something else.  Likely we will never be at peace until we follow our heart and soul, and not our conditioning or others expectations.

Are you doing what fills you?

I think this explains what “following your passion” means. If you do, you will always look forward to work, play, leisure, relationships, etc. with profound pleasure and anticipation, rather than drudge and negativity.
Too often we make decisions based on money, opinions of others, and trends of the day, rather than following our true passions.Parents often foist their own expectations on their children rather than letting them determine and follow their passion. “I want to play the violin.” “No, you are going to join the soccer team.”

So True! Life is also a lot more fun. You can serve more. Your rewards are better. Everything is much better.

Thanks for the insight!

At one point in my life I remember telling myself that there has to be more to life than this.

Today I see clearer and I find joy in knowing that my actions and being is capable to contribute to the greater good. There is so much more to learn but that is part of evolution, personal development.
