Give up the fight? Maybe it's time.

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Many of us have a war going on in our head; at least one.  There is a bad guy or group, and a struggle between you (good) and them (evil).  It can be draining, discouraging, and bring out the worst in us.

Sometimes the fight is worth fighting.  But other times we latched onto and escalated this war in us because it made us feel righteous, we are small, or we had no bigger, more important things to occupy our mind.  These ongoing battles can be draining, and eclipse our better nature.

Is it time to just let it go, lay your weapons down, and walk away?  For ourselves?

Right on, Larry! I was actually talking about these never ending internal battles with my kid, and how they impact our relationships.
Sometimes we begin to see that internal enemy in others and treat them with contempt. Once you acknowledge the enemy within, you’re able to understand that everyone else is fighting a battle of their own. True friends begin to gather and then, when you realize, you have a small army around you to fight the battles that really matter.

Whoa-that’s good!

Dear Larry and everyone that came out to help me battle my longest running battle ever.

I would like to thank all of you for all your donations, letters of support and encouragement,as well as, well wishes. I received the best Thanksgiving Day gift ever; “My Home!” I have the home, I walked into in 1998 and although, I can’t walk now, this home is not only my sanctuary, but memories of wonderful times, where my husband passed away, all of my family that I lost and loved.

I now can remember them and stay where I belong!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all and you will here from me soon
