Don't give your spirit to bad news

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Today I got bad news.  But then again, I get bad news everyday.  And I get good news everyday, too.

This sale got made, this one fell through.  This employee did great, this one messed up. This customer is happy, this one isn’t. This will save me money, this will cost me money. It’s a roller coaster.

Today I heard about something that will cost me $3500.  Then another thing that will cost me $640.  Then we lost three man days labor because of a problem.  I could respond naturally and let my spirit and attitude go down with the problems, or I can maintain my attitude and see it for what it is – feedback.  It only hurts me if I let it.  And if I let it, it hurts me financially and emotionally.

Why give bad events power over your mental and physical health, too?

The timing of this message is perfect! I recently had a string of challenges that were quite overwhelming! It literally was causing me to feel sick. The mind will continue down a path of thinking that we allow. One good thing happened and I latched onto that one hopeful event like a life raft and asked God to renew my mind and also help me feel peace and hope and abundant Joy!!!! I knew the way my body was responding was related to how I was thinking! In a matter of hours I felt rejuvenated and energized. In the bible it talks about a peace that is present regardless of circumstances and for me my greatest peace has come from knowing and loving Jesus!!! For the Lord has not given us the spirit of fear but of peace and joy and of a sound mind.

Without failure, disappointments or mistakes there would be no growth. It is a learning experience. What you do with it is the key.

Larry from all that I have read you have so many blessings. Keep the faith.
