Vigilant, Active and Brave

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

We must be vigilant in identifying threats to our freedom. The biggest threats are within our own government who would curtail our freedoms under the pretense of taking care of us. America’s founders knew that it was the nature of man for this to happen 230 years ago.

We must be active in calling it what it is, and we must be brave in the defense of what is the greatest American invention – freedom.

Could you disagree?

Josh smith

You can already see it coming can’t you? I agree

Mele Orendorf

Larry, I totally agree with your statement. It is government’s role to protect our freedoms and give us the ability to pursue our dreams. Maybe (part of) the problem is that we no longer have dreams and look to the government to be our ultimate provider.

Matt Stevenson

The collective vision and ideal of what our government is supposed to be has changed – to make it better we need to get people to buy into a better way just like our founders did – it’s getting worse because the majority feel as though that’s the only way – they are comfortable complaining quietly about it –

Yeah you’re right – you need to get the mass behind your belief

Jim Smith

“No punishment is too great, for the man who builds his greatness upon his country’s ruin”
-George Washington 1778

“Any man who willfully takes actions during wartime that damages moral and undermines the military is a saboteur and should be arrested, exiled or hung.”
-Abraham Lincoln 1863

Andrew

Agreed! See the battle taking place in Houston.

Bill Simone

It is not the government that has eroded our freedom it is the immorality of the American people who unbeknown to themselves, are slipping into depravity by electing those people who are the very ones that are taking their own freedom away.
The only comment I wrote on Think Daily was on the gay marriage and equal rights. God does not have an equal period. I said that this was the beginning of Christian persecution here in our “free” country. Andrew is right… for those that do not know here is the link: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/10/14/city-houston-demands-pastors-turn-over-sermons/

Paul Giglio

I could not agree more. Times are changing and what happens in the upcoming weeks will really change us all forever.

Linda Hvizdo

Everyone must read Ben Carson’s “One Nation” before it is too late! Especially our younger generation…or they are doomed…very eye opening and we must wake up and pay attention to what is happening…

Larry Janesky

Jim,
I am unclear as to how you are applying these quotes. In defense of whom?
