Government "Stewards"

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

“Nobody spends somebody else’s money as carefully as he spends his own.”

That’s why government is inefficient, wasteful, expansive and expensive.

There are 456 federal agencies.  There are 22.4 million full and part time federal, state and local government workers.  That’s one in 13.5 citizens.  Take out for retired and children…

It’s ours – should we shrink it?

Ken Field

We should shrink government spending drastically. Their mission is to spend everything that they can get their hands on plus a little more so they can make a case for increasing taxes. In doing this they have no real interest in spending wisely. Helping people with that money is great. Enabling their laziness is extremely counterproductive. It’s also demoralizing for the young people entering the work force as well as the hard working labor force. We have too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

Brad

Absolutely!!!! The whole system is way way WAYYYY to big and getting too controlling. Its far beyond what our country and government were built on!!

Jane Miller

Government is best when delivered closest to the people. Local communities do a far better and more efficient job of delivering services (including education) to their communities. The further from the people, the less accountability; we are seeing the most astonishing lack of accountability ever before in our history at the present time.

Federal government is there to protect and defend the nation and its currency and law makers should be citzen-lawmakers, not the craven power brokers they have become.
